Since we last covered 9 Crimes a mere 5 months ago, it might seem a little early for another feature of this haunting, beautiful machinima. In my defense, 9 Crimes came up a few times on the official forums this week, as well as Twitter and Reddit — and therefore, inevitably, my inbox.
The plot of the video is fairly simple. Many of the best stories in literature are simple concepts; instead of a convoluted plot, the narration is executed brilliantly. Using the song of the same name by Damien Rice, 9 Crimes uses brilliant animation, brooding, thoughtful framing, and careful timing to share the story and heartbreak with the audience.
9 Crimes will probably stay a favorite machinima until the death of WoW itself.
